Nolan is #40

Wittrock joins Rocori linebacker Chris Braun, St. Cloud Tech defensive back Nolan Lortz, Shakopee offensive lineman Rob Sybrant, Centennial offensive lineman Kevin Battis and defensive back Jake Orth and Andover defensive back Chase Vasquez among the new group of players who have confirmed their intentions to play at St. John's to the Times.

Nolan Lortz
You can see the 5-10, 160-pound Lortz is tough. After tearing an anterior cruciate ligament and suffering a slight meniscus tear last summer, he still elected to play his senior season with the Tech. He sat out the first two games, then played off and on, working his way into the defensive starting lineup during the second half of the year.
He is primarily a cornerback, but has played linebacker as well.
"My mom works at the school, so I get free tuition," said Lortz, who had surgery on his knee last November and expects to be cleared to go full-speed within the next two weeks. "It would have been stupid to go someplace else. I looked around. But I really did like it at St. John's."
