TECH'S Clark Field 1917-2012

This turned out to be Nathan's first and last time playing on Clark field his Junior year.

THANK GOD it was only sprained!

Nathan TECH Football 2012

TECH's 2012 football season is well underway and Nathan is having an incredible season, now that the cast is off the broken left thumb and the right sprained ankle is somewhat better.
This was Nathan starting as Corner Back for the 'DARK SIDE' against Sauk Rapids. TECH won,
28 -7 at Sauk Rapids. The 5 of us were there plus Melissa, with Grandma and Grandpa Lortz too!
We survived the downpour that attacked us sideways with the wind coming straight from the North and it didn't stop the Tigers! Nate caused a fumble, recovered a fumble and made an interception. When Nathan made the interception, the local radio station said "You just don't see that kind of skill at this High School level."

Nathan going over plays with Petey.

I love this picture.

Nathan is #29 for Varisty. He has a splint on for this game vs Grand Rapids. He never wore it again. He stuck to taping it up instead.

My 3 boys. Nolan, Nathan and Benjamin. It's great that the boys came to watch Nathan. We are all so proud of him! He lives, eats and breaths Football. I can remember Nathan at 3 yrs old, standing in front of the TV with a diaper on. He was jumping up and down on the newspaper section we set aside as a boundry for him, so he didn't stand directly in front of the screen. He turned to me and asked "Mom, how many yaaards in a firsssst down"? He was happy with my response of 10. I think he knew more about football that I ever will, by the time he was 5.

Nathan hit Clark field a little too soon and hurt his ankle again, but at least he saw Clark field as a Junior. The field closed 2 days later because of poor conditions found in the team rooms and concession stands.
