Who is taller? Me or Nathan? It seems like everyday he is telling me to take off my shoes and stand back to back to see if he is taller than me yet. I remember when the twins used to do that (now they are over a head taller than me at 5ft 10 1/2"). It's so fun having boys!!

TECH Football WINS

TECH HIGH SCHOOL SPIRIT! SINGING THE SCHOOL SONG AFTER ANOTHER WIN!
Ben is # 35
Nolan is #40

Nolan made an awesome interception at the game against Sauk Rapids last week! He came down with the ball on the S. R.'s 2 yard line. I couldn't tell it was him, but as I was watching the play I thought, thats a beautiful pick, wow, how gracefull; THEN I REALIZED IT WAS NOLAN!!!! II screamed and cheered my heart out! It was so exciting!!! All the parents sitting next to us were just as happy for us!! Scott had to pay up 50 bucks for that catch!

Ben played exceptionally well, he is # 35!

This is our new truck!! We are picking it up Thursday night and I can't wait! Scott says the girls have to ride in their kennels in the back. I don't think so!!! I will have to get seat covers ASAP to keep it looking clean.

We are heading to the lake for one last weekend as a family before we shut the place up for the winter. It's always sad leaving our lake family until the following year. This is a wonderful picture of our family and friends eating together after a busy day playing on the water. See you in May and hopefully sooner!!

This is Nathan's (12) first deer with his bow! His patience and persistance has paid off! We are all so proud of him! He killed her at 7am and waited almost an hour before calling dad and telling him all about it. Scott said he's never seen him so excited before! At first, Nathan was worried about the shot, but the blood trail proved him wrong. It was a GREAT shot with his RAGE expanding broadhead. Way to go Nathan!!!

This is Nathan with his new coach, Scott from SCSU. Nathan is getting the next play from him before the huddle. Nathan really likes him.

Nathan played his first 7th grade football game with 100% accuracy. It was incredible to watch this kid play! They won 21-0!!! The coach said that Nathan earned the game ball! It was a long awaited dream come true for Nathan yesterday! I can remember Nathan standing in front of the T.V in his diaper asking me how many yards were in a first down. He lives, eats and breathes the game!

Wisconsin bowhunting opener

Our 3 boys wait all year for the bowhunting opener. This year it rained almost all weekend. In between downpours, Ben killed this doe from 10 yards with his RAGE broadhead.

Nathan and Daisy; 2007. This was just the beginning of our lives with spoiled bassets! I wouldn't have it any other way!
They sleep with me at night when Scott is working. Ya, I have to wash my sheets more often, but it's worth it! In my world, what is one more load of laundry????
This is Ben and Nolan with Salmon they helped net in Bristol Bay, Alaska. July 2008

This is Daisy resting her head on Lilly at the cabin this summer.

2 Bassets, 3 teenage boys. Damn I feel old!

I haven't written on this blog months and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Since December, we own the trailer and got another Basset hound. "Lilly" is Daisy's step sister. They have the same dad.
Nolan, Ben and Nathan had an incredible wrestling season and spent 6 weeks in Alaska with Susan and Roger. Nathan stayed home and potty trained Lilly. OMG it's been a long 14 months of potty training those two!
Scott and the boys made me and the girls a "basset corral" in the back yard and it's been the best thing ever! They run and play and look for squirrel and birds on command. They sleep on the breezeway in their crates during the day. I am working on redecorating the breezeway with a dog theme. I have pictures of Lilly, Daisy and Mel all over.
Nathan started 7th grade and loves it. He is trying to get the QB position and I am sure that he will.
Nolan and Ben are both on varsity this year. It's the greatest thing to watch them on the field! They both do a fantastic job playing and preparing for each game.
Scott and I are so darn busy with the kids I can't believe how fast time goes by!
