The Boys

Nolan and Ben will be working for one of their football coaches this summer doing lawn work and other stuff at his lake home. This is probably our last summer of all being together before they have to work on weekends. We are even looking at places to have their senior pictures taken this fall. Muffy will take them outside in Wisconsin with their bows I am sure! It's hard to believe that they'll be leaving for college in a short 18 months. Both Scott and I are very excited for their Senior football games and are already beginning to realize what a short time we have left with them under our roof. It's hard to believe that they are darn near adults. Nathan will be taking drivers ed in another 14 months.

2009 Basset Hound Buddies Rescue event 4/25/09

Saturday 4/25/09, Scott, Nathan and I spent the day in Blaine at the Basset Buddies Rescue annual Spring into Summer event. There were 150 bassets and about 75 people. It was a blast seeing all the different looking Bassets there.

Nathan had his first baseball game on Saturday. Actually his 7th grade team from South played 4 games. They won 3 and tied the forth. Nathan pitched, played left field and second base. He got a double and 2 walks during the day. It was cold, but all the boys had a great time!

Easter 2009

The Easter bunny must have come very early, because as hard as Daisy and Lilly looked for him, they couldn't find him!!

We were at Mom and Dad's to celebrate many things this spring! Mom made a fantastic brunch that could have feed an additional 20 people; so it's a good thing we brough Muskie Mike to share in the festivities!
My mom is a such great cook and decorates a breathtaking table! I know that she worked for days on the meal planning, cleaning and setting the table. She has always enjoyed setting the table a couple days in advance so she could admire it. After our brunch, Scott, Kerri Ann and I took the girls for a walk off their leashes on the golf course. They ran and chased each other, barking and sniffing around the 14th hole. Scott is so good with Daisy and Lilly, they listen so well to him!
Stuart, Ben, Nolan and Nathan watched the Masters tourney and made small sporting bets all day long!. Scott and Ben went with Doug (neighbor guy) to the shooting range for about an hour. My Grandpa Fish enjoyed the weather outside on the patio and making fun of my Daisy and Lilly. He thinks they are cute though!! My grandma Fish would have loved them!

A late march snowfall wasn't what I wanted to wake up to, but watching the girls play in it made it more enjoyable.

48 hour bedroom makeover!

Scott suprised me Saturday morning! Since it's now 'suck up season,' he decided to lay new carpet in our bedroom!!! But, we decided to paint the ceiling and walls before Scott and the boys layed the carpet. After we cleaned out the room (or as they say on HGTZ; "space,") I bought the paint colors that I had been admiring for 6 months. Scott painted the ceiling, and cut the ceiling with the paint colors. Nolan, Nathan and Ben helped patch nail holes, scrubbed down the walls and removed the trimwork.

It took all weekend, but it's so worth it! I am so happy with the results!! The new trim should be up in about two weeks, until then, my bed is on the floor. And I am ok with that!!

Lilly and Daisy didn't want to get up this morning, they just wanted belly rubs!!

We got 7 inches of snow yesterday and classes were cancelled for CSB/SJU, but not for Nolan, Ben and Nathan in St. Cloud. I was home all day and didn't do much but love up the girls and fold laundry. We had to be quiet so Scott could sleep. We had some popcorn and watched Wife Swap and Nanny 911. It felt like a wasted day, but Daisy enjoyed it!!
