2010 Section wresting in Bemidji for Ben and Nathan

Nate had a great tourney. He lost his first match Friday and wrestled his way back to 4th place on Saturday. It was a 10 man bracket. Not bad for an 8th grader! He beat kids that beat him earlier this season. He never got pinned and his worst match he only lost by 8 points. Ben had a really tough bracket. He took 7th. Tough to watch him wrestle his last high school match. He lost in 3 overtimes. Score was 2 to 1. It was hard to watch him walk off the mat for the last time. He has worked so hard over the past year between school and wrestling. Wrestling is such a demanding sport and we are so proud of their skill level and endurance in the sport!!

Nathan recieved a varsity letter and sportmanship award. Not bad for a 7th grader!!Ben got the survivor award for not getting pinned all season. Ben had 37 matches and
didn't get pinned once. Ben and Nolan both got their 4th varsity letter. Ben also threw his hat in the ring for Captain next year and had to give a speech.

All 3 of our boys have been selected for the team sections team. So they had to dress up for school this morning. They wrestle this Saturday in Bufalo.Nate broke the Tech high 7th grade all time win record. He pinned two seniors this year. He is only the 3rd 7th grader to letter at Tech. Ben has had alot of close matches this year either winning or losing by a only a point or two. One touney he wrestled 4 matches and the total points for all four matches was four points. But when Ben gets his cradle hooked up it is over.Nolan has been wrestling above his weight, some times giving up over 20lbs. Nolan has come on STRONGER and stronger as the season goes on. He has had some of the most exciting matches of the year. Some looked like they were turning into bar fights. He also just got and Academic Athlete award. Ben missed it by 2/100ths of a point. He has some work to do. Well this has been the ramblings of a proud father, they have worked so hard this year. Nobody can ever remember three brothers wrestling varsity at the same time. Nate has taken quite a few beating this year but he has 4 pins and 11 wins, and almost as many black eyes. They beat #1 seed Alex and Nate started it out with a pin and got the team on a roll. So he is pretty nervous about tomorrow. He is the first on the mat and many times sets the mood.

'Parents Night' at TECH for Wrestling 2/10/09

Last night was 'Parents Night' at TECH for the Wrestling team. Our boys presented us with hand written thank you notes and letters. Nathan's was sweet and sincere, and so was Ben's with a bit of humor to it that made both of us laugh out loud. Nolan's letter was very memorable and showed that he really appreciates everyting we do for him in life. The letters were the best gift that Scott and I could have ever received!

Nathan! One of his coaches call him "Gumby" because he can bend so easily. I think thats from being beat up and abused by his older brothers his whole life.
Each one of the boys placed 5th out of 8 teams and received beautiful engraved medals. I was home sick with a cold, but Muffy went to support the boys and took these great pics! Scott drove down to the cities all by himself!! In which HE equally deserves a medal for!!

On Saturday Nolan wrestled 152 and pinned 2 kids and took 4th. Too many close matches this week. Ben wrestled at 130 and took 5th. Nathan is at 103 and took 6th place. He wrestled his 10 varsity match and therefore, lettered as a 7th grader. It's hard on Mom and Dad to watch sometimes!!

Wrestling season started!!
Ben pinned two kids last night 12/9/08 from Rocori and Nolan won his match by 2 points in the last seconds of round 3. It was an incredible night!!

 

Nathan is on varisty as a 7th grader and got his first Varsity win last Saturday when he pinned a senior at St Michael/Albertville. It was incredible!!

Nate pinned a 12th grader for his first vasity win. He won both
matches last night now his varsity record is 3-2 as the teams 103
pounder. Nolan is wrestling 160 lbs and weighs 145; Ben is wrestling at 135 lbs right now.
