Clean sheets at the cabin

I swear they either become tired from the smell of clean sheets or they actually think it's THEIR bedroom!

Daisy and Lilly saw 2 deer walk through camp. To my amazment, they could still smell where the deer walked for 4 days. Yeah, I gave in and took them out 'deer hunting'... they were so proud of themselves.

Vacation at the Lake!!

It was 10 glorious days. No tv, not much sun, just a whole lot of piece and quiet! Nolan, Ben and Nathan went fishing to Antler lake and caught some sunnies, we went to garage sales, and cooked over the fire. I read almost a whole book, took many walks with the dogs and watched 2 full seasons of South park.

Lilly really enjoyed the drive to Wisconsin! She loves to let her ears flap in the wind!

Cabin 2009

Scott got the boat working better than it has in years! Nathan took it for a test drive! Scott and Nathan spent the whole weekend at the lake together, while Nolan and Ben helped me plant the garden and some hostas.

When it gets cold like this, I just think of summer and I instantly feel better!!!

We are heading to the lake for one last weekend as a family before we shut the place up for the winter. It's always sad leaving our lake family until the following year. This is a wonderful picture of our family and friends eating together after a busy day playing on the water. See you in May and hopefully sooner!!

This is Nathan's (12) first deer with his bow! His patience and persistance has paid off! We are all so proud of him! He killed her at 7am and waited almost an hour before calling dad and telling him all about it. Scott said he's never seen him so excited before! At first, Nathan was worried about the shot, but the blood trail proved him wrong. It was a GREAT shot with his RAGE expanding broadhead. Way to go Nathan!!!

Wisconsin bowhunting opener

Our 3 boys wait all year for the bowhunting opener. This year it rained almost all weekend. In between downpours, Ben killed this doe from 10 yards with his RAGE broadhead.
