Nathan Luxemberg tournament

Nathan's team took second, but won all the respect!

The boys lined up when their names were announced in the Championship game.

Nathan pitched a couple of innings, scored twice, played third base and had a couple awesome hits. One was a TRIPLE!! Oh yeah, and he got hit AGAIN!

Anyway on base huh Nate??

Nathan's team went 2-0 yesterday in day one of the weekend tournament in Luxemberg.

Nathan was one of 4 guys on his little league team to be selected by ballot to play on the "All Star Team" last night in Cold Spring. Nathan pitched an outstanding inning, and played second base also! The rest of his team an opponents were made up of the other better players in the league. The boys selected to the St. Augusta Gussies were (L to R) Ivan Meyer, Noah Voigt, Austin Klaverkamp and Nathan. Ian got hit in the face with a ball early in the game, but kept playing. Noah and Austin pitched too and did an outstanding job!

Nathan is getting ready to run to second....

Nathan is running in to be the next one up to bat!

Nathan and all his buddies received very nice medals. Although the final score was 7 to 7; Nate's team was declared the winner by the stats kept in the game.

1st summer league baseball game for Nathan

Nathan's first game for the season was in Pearl Lake. His team won 8-2. Nathan pitched 2 innings and caught a ball right off the bat and ate dirt while doing it. It was an incredible catch! Everyone in the stands and all the players were screaming at the excitment of it. He also hit a triple to top off the night!

Nathan's baseball season

Nathan is so busy with baseball season! After school he has practice until 5 pm, then eats something on the way to 6 pm summer league practice until he can collapse in the air conditioned car at 8 pm. He has 2 games tonight and I have to help him with a paper before he goes to bed. Nathan is an amazing, determined kid who is doing an incredible job on the field and in his classes.
Last night he got to play at the MAC, where the St. Cloud River Bats play ball. That was really fun watching him play in such a beautiful facility.
